This course provides training for OnGuard and OnGuard 2 Closed System Transfer Device (CSTD) that is designed to keep healthcare professionals safe when handling hazardous drugs.
This course provides an in-service for use of the OnGuard and OnGuard 2 Closed System Transfer Device (CSTD).
Learning Objectives:
- Overview the method to attach OnGuard components to achieve a safe and secure connection and disconnection.
- Learn about the components used to prepare an IV push, primary and secondary IV infusion.
- Understand the safety features of the device and proper use.
