Introcan Safety® 3 Closed IV Catheter
This course provides training for the Introcan Safety® 3 Closed IV Catheter with passive safety, which is designed to promote peripheral IV first stick success, protects from blood exposure, and reduces needlestick injuries with a fully automatic safety shield that cannot be bypassed.*
This course provides an in-service for use of the Introcan Safety® 3 IV Catheter.
Learning Objectives
- Overview the steps to inserting the Introcan Safety® 3 closed IV catheter.
- Learn about the catheter design features that facilitate optimal placement including double flashback technology and universal bevel design.
- Understand the passive safety features of the device.
- Understand the multi-access blood control features.
