This course provides training for the Introcan Safety® 2 IV Catheter with Multi-Access Blood Control which is designed to promote peripheral IV first stick success, protects from blood exposure during insertion and every time the hub is accessed (1), and reduces needlestick injuries with a safety feature that cannot be bypassed (2).

  2. Learn about the catheter design features that facilitate optimal placement including double flashback technology and universal bevel design. 
  3. Understand the passive safety features of the device. 
  4. Understand the multi-access blood control feature.
